NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Davidson County is an independently funded and operated affiliate of NAMI. It receives only 2% of its operating fuds from NAMI and NAMI TN. The NAMI Davidson Walk, 5K & Village fundraiser is vital to the support of NAMI Davidson's free community based support groups, education classes, helpline and stigma-busting programs. In 2016 over 5600 people received support, education or information to assist in recovery, create awareness and bust stigma. Most agency services are free and peer-led. The agency works collaboratively with many other services in the area. It is sometimes the only source of support for persons without insurance.
The event will be chip timed with finish results posted online within 24 hrs. Awards ceremony - 9:15AM.
