The Roan Mountain 10K Run is part of the Tennessee State Parks Running tour. This is the 40th year of the State Parks Running Tour, the longest state parks running series in the U.S. It consists of 20 road races with distances varying from 5 to 13 miles.
All races are held on Saturdays from October to February at 11 AM local time in 20 different State Parks, located from Memphis to Kingsport.
These events are sponsored by local running clubs, which are responsible for registration, timing and results. Each State Park provides facilities, race security and traffic control.
We have a Grand Prix points system, where accumulated points determine the new male and female Running Tour Champion in each of six age categories: youth, open, masters, grandmasters, senior grandmasters, and seventy plus. Everyone who participates in 5 races or more will receive a special award at the Grand Prix Awards Banquet on February 23, 2019 at Montgomery Bell State Park. In addition, those who run 10 or more races will receive an extra award.
Advance entry fee for the race is $10 with no shirt. If you wish to order a race t-shirt (long sleeve), the entry fee will be $22. The last day to register for the t-shirt option will be one week prior to the race. The entry fee starting one week prior to the race (including race day) increases to $15 (no shirt).
